Engulfed by the emptiness after a party, N lays down idly, praying the next depressing day to never come. Yet as the first sun ray crawls up his arm, he notices something different. As he looks out the window, the world has changed in an eerie yet enchanting fashion. As if being lured by an unknown force, he cannot help but dive into this alternative world. As he digs deeper and deeper, N reunited with his long-lost passion. His dream, his aspirations, his lust and desire, his happiness.
Ever since the party's over, for the first time in forever, he smiled.
We were only given less than a month to create a 4-minute fully animated music video.The main obstacles were animating numerous backgrounds and effectively depicting the character's various lucid dreaming stages.
Due to the limited time, we used photo treatments in Photoshop to create a retro comic effect for backgrounds, rather than drawing each individually. We developed four distinct color schemes to represent different dreaming stages, connecting them with a consistent light transition effect. This approach allowed us to efficiently produce a visually cohesive and engaging music video that captured the protagonist's journey through his altered reality.
